Maranoa 2010 Installation

On Saturday June 26th Bro Charles William Burrell was installed into the Master's Chair of Maranoa Lodge. The work of installing him was done by his father, V.W. Bro. Jim Burrell ably assisted by V.W. Bro. John Lethbridge (Installing DC) and an esteemed team of Brethren from across the district and beyond. The MWGM Was represented by M.W. Bro. John Menzies PGM visiting Roma once again.
The new Master was suitably impressed (even overwhelmed) by the ceremony. A good time was indeed had by all in attendance. The Master and Maranoa Lodge is looking towards an enjoyable and successful year ahead.

R.W. Bro Peter Thomas received his IPM's, jewell from M.W. Bro. Menzies.
The Installation Banquet was held at the Leichhardt Room of the Club Hotel, and was well attended by Brethren and their partners. The new Worshipful Master was supported by family and friends. All reports indicated that the evening was a success and were an excellent finish to the day's proceedings.
During the meal and general social conviviality at the banquet, V.W. Bro. King Lethbridge was pleasantly surprised by the presentation of a Life Vice Patron's Jewell.

MITCHELL LODGE 3rd DEGREE. A Great night was had by all at Mitchell Lodge recently for the 3rd Degree on Bro Ken Syme. the night had a big attendance of members and Bro Syme was an excellent Canditate. the WM and his team of offices are to be congratulated on their work.

MITCHELL LOGDE MAKES DONATION
Pictured receiving the donation is Mrs DEnise Schneider, Mrs Barbra Brennan of the Maranoa Retirement Village Auxilary, in the presence of V Wor Bro Jock Sullivan and Wor Bro Lex Mason. The Donation was to the value of $6000. This was made possible with the assitance of the Board of General Purposes Dollar for Dollar Subsidsy. Congratulations to Mitchell Lodge on their efforts. AGSWks Newsltter G'Day all,it is amazing how quick the year is going, i have been flat out preparing and planting wheat for a quite a few weeks. first there was the repair work from the floods , then spraying and then planting. I was able to dig the seed into moisture and as i write this quite a bit has emerged and it is trying to rain.Golfign is going along well when i can make it to a course, there are a few of us travelling to Boulia in NW QLD for the QLD Sandgreens on the Queens Brithday long weekend. Grand Lodge - the Grand Installation of Rt Wor Bro Adrian Burton is on July 3rd. There is a few days of festivities planned as well as a banquet. You will need to register for the festivities and if you are planning to attend the Installation only you will need to contact your secretary and secure tickets to Grand Hall, numbers are limited so the eairly bird gets the worm. Raphael Lodge - preformed a 1st degree on Mr Paul Cole, Paul was a good canditate and keen to learn about Freemaonsry. They also have their Intallation meeting coming up on 10th July, the ME is Bro. David Jensen. Maranoa Lodge - have their installation meeting on June 26th, - this is aiming up to be a good night, the ME is Bro Charles Burrell, his father Jim is the IM and MW Bro John Menzies PGM is representing the GM. quite a few bretheren from Brisbane have indicated they are coming especially from the Aus FM Web Site. Bonnie Doon Lodge - have a 1st Degree coming up on June 11th on Mr John Hamiltion. John is the youngest son of Wor Bro Ian Hamilton, this promises to be a big family affair. Note the change of their regular meeting date. Corona Lodge - have no work at the moment but i believe there are a couple of canditates in the wind. Mitchell Lodge - have completed the degrees on Bro Ken Syme, and there is another canditate in the process. Their Procmamation meeting went very well with Wor Bro Bill Saul taking the chair for another year. Well brethren that is the latest from what is going along in District 25. Raphael Lodge celebrated their first degree working in quite a while when Mr Paul Cole took his 1st Degree. He was an excellent canditate and showed a willingness to aquire more knowledge.
