Freemasonry is a fraternal organization of men that strive to become better people, by holding each other to high moral code, Freemasons undertake supporting their local community and their lodges through various charity functions and events.

A Lodge is a group of Freemasons that meet once a month usually in a Masonic Centre, the meetings consist of a business, treasurers and correspondence report like any other meeting and quite often the introduction of a new member.

Introducing a member to Freemasonry is called an initiation, not because there is hazing or anything like that, the new member called a candidate is inducted into Freemasonry by participating in a ceremony called a degree.

Joining Freemasonry is very simple, there is a form to fill out to petition for membership and there are membership fees.
